7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short:
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as it is needed to:

Provide and maintain our Services

Fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice

Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements

No purpose in this Privacy Notice will ever require us to retain your personal information longer than the period during which you maintain an active account with us, unless required by law.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will take one of the following actions:

Delete or anonymize your personal information so that it can no longer be linked to you.

If immediate deletion or anonymization is not feasible (for example, data stored in secure backup archives), we will safely store and isolate that information from further processing until permanent deletion is possible.

Our goal is to ensure that your data is retained only for as long as truly necessary — and no longer.

8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short:
We protect your personal information using a combination of organizational, administrative, and technical safeguards — but no system is completely infallible.

These measures include, but are not limited to:

Secure data encryption in transit and at rest

Access controls and authentication safeguards

Regular system monitoring and vulnerability assessments

Data minimization and retention protocols

Staff confidentiality agreements and data protection training

Despite our ongoing efforts and safeguards, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. As such, we cannot ensure or warrant that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures or improperly access, steal, or alter your information.

Although I’m Not Pop Culture LLC takes every precaution to protect your data, transmitting personal information to and from our Services is done at your own risk. We encourage you to access our Services only within a secure network environment and to take reasonable steps on your end (such as using strong passwords and keeping your devices updated) to help safeguard your information.

In Short:
We do not knowingly collect data from, solicit information from, or market to individuals under the age of 18.

11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers — and some mobile operating systems or applications — include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) setting that you can activate to signal your preference not to have data about your online browsing activities collected or monitored.

At this time, no uniform technology standard for recognizing or implementing DNT signals has been formally established. As a result, I’m Not Pop Culture LLC does not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other automatic mechanism that communicates your choice not to be tracked online.

If an industry or legal standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we are required to follow, we will update this Privacy Notice to reflect that change and describe our new approach to honoring such signals.

In compliance with California law, we are required to inform you that, because no consistent DNT recognition standard currently exists, we do not respond to Do-Not-Track signals at this time.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have privacy rights that give you greater control over your personal information. We do not use sensitive personal data to infer characteristics about you.

We may also collect information when you interact with us directly — for example, when you contact customer support, participate in surveys or contests, or communicate with us to facilitate delivery of our Services.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services and maintain your account, unless the law requires a longer period.

13. DATA USAGE & SHARING

Mobile Opt-In Data Collection

When you or your customers provide a mobile phone number and opt in to receive text (SMS) communications from us (via I’m Not Pop Culture LLC’s Services), we collect and securely store that mobile opt-in data solely for the purpose of sending relevant and authorized messages.
These messages may include review requests, service updates, notifications, reminders, or other communications explicitly related to your use of our Services.

No Third-Party Sharing or Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any mobile opt-in data with third parties for their marketing, promotional, or commercial use.

The only time mobile numbers or associated data may be shared is with trusted service providers and sub-processors — such as telecommunications carriers, SMS delivery platforms, or automation tools — who help facilitate message delivery.
All such third parties operate under strict contractual agreements requiring:

Data to be used only for the limited purpose of providing agreed-upon services,

Compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws, and

Maintenance of confidentiality and security of all shared data.

Limited Use

We process mobile opt-in data exclusively to provide and enhance our Services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

We will not disclose, distribute, or use mobile opt-in data for any other purpose beyond those described in this Privacy Notice unless:

We are required to do so by law, regulation, or court order, or

We receive explicit written authorization from the data owner to do so.

Opt-Out Policy

End users may opt out of receiving text messages at any time. To do so, users can reply “STOP” (or any equivalent command) to any message received from our system.

Upon receipt of an opt-out request, we will:

Immediately suppress the number from all future text communications, and

Only send a final confirmation or legally required notices, where applicable.

We honor opt-out requests promptly and maintain suppression lists to ensure continued compliance with all privacy and telecommunications regulations.
